Final Derivatives Showdown Thursday: Read The House Offer

June 24, 2010

DEMS be damned! They’ve sold out the American people again regarding financial reform in favor of Wall Street. I’ve been listening to the Dylan Ratigan Show, on MSNBC, and was so outraged when he explained how Main Street is being screwed over on last-minute, financial reform sellouts, I called Dodd’s and Frank’s D.C. offices and gave them a piece of my mind. I also called Blanche Lincoln’s office and requested she hold firm on derivitives. Please, people, contact your elected officials; flood the phone lines with your outrage! And President Obama and his White House Wall Street cronies are in the doghouse on this one too.

McChrystal Rolling Stone Interview: HuffPost Bloggers Weigh In

June 23, 2010

This is a moment whereby President Obama can re-think his Afghanistanh policy, realizing this is a no-win war, the government of Afghanistan is corrupt, the American people have withdrawn their support for the war, and the monies spent there can be used better here at home. He should fire General McCrystal and start bringing our troops home, as we are in yet another quagmire. Al Qaeida, and their agents, can attack the U.S. from anywhere in the world, so let’s use our intelligence, in cooperation with our allies, to get “them” before they get us. There are too many of our troops, all over the world, that should be brought home as well.
In return, let’s build up our defenses here at home and use our satellites and outter space superiority to protect America’s interests.

Gulf Oil Spill Job Losses Could Total 1 MILLION Over Next 5 Years: David Kotok

June 21, 2010

I’m thinking the president needs to go back to the Gulf Coast and hold a press conference, not only with reporters, but also with elected officials and the “small people” asking questions too. The spotlight needs to remain on the Gulf Coast–especially with the president showing he’s cutting through all the red tape the local officials are experiencing. The president also needs to call on the American people to help and contact their elected officials, and he needs to slam those in Congress beholding to big oil. Lastly, he needs to push a clean energy and climate change bill now and call those in the Senate out who are dragging their feet.

NRA Remains The King On The Hill

June 15, 2010

Our democracy is in peril. Someone, please call for a constitutional convention because it’s obvious we don’t have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
